MalayalaSangeetham.Info, popularly known as MSI, is a not-for-profit, grassroots movement by a set of dedicated volunteers who can trace their roots back to the Kerala and cherish the nostalgic musical dreams of yesteryears. It has been a popular destination on the internet for the better part of the past one decade. The site is dedicated to the countless, often anonymous artists who took the rest of us along in this endless journey of eternal bliss for generations past and future.

Volunteers make MSI what it is today. Those of us who have been fortunate enough to initiate this concept and have been an integral part during these years realize how insignificant we are and how powerful and relevant we are as a team to have built MSI up to where it is today. Thousands of malayalees from across the whole world have contributed to this effort. Most notably , the credit for MSI singularly goes to its current board of directors and administrators of the site. While we cannot confine the contributions to a handful, the selfless efforts of following people are noteworthy and stands above the rest - Sunny Joseph, Kalyani Nair, Vijayakrishnan VS, Shakeeb Vakkom, Vamadevan, Madhavabhadran, B Vijayakumar, Jayalakshmi Ravindranath, Anoop Adoor, Jija Subramanian, Rajagopal, Ignatius , Venu and Manoj Empranthiri, who all understands and shares the passion behind building and sustaining visions that are often termed unattainable and seldom sustainable. MSI has been always a step ahead of the rest of the world in using technology to categorize, assess and analyze music and movie information. The android app is yet another step in that direction. This app was developed by Ranjith Nair using some of the most innovative technologies of today in collaboration with MSI team. As the world is moving to a mobile platform, we hope this android app and its companion iPhone app will do its part. MSI has about 500,000 users as of early 2013 with more than 10 million hits on our servers monthly. Information provided on the site is provided free of cost to anyone who cares to use it. In return, we request that you do your part by giving credit to MSI and thanking the hundreds of thousands of volunteer hours behind what you see.
